Patrick O. Jefferson to Address Dillard University at the 2013 Honors Convocation

Mr. Patrick O. Jefferson of the Class of 1990 was recently announced as the 2013 Honors Convocation Speaker at Dillard University.

Mr. Jefferson is a stellar graduated of Dillard University having served his alma mater as an administrative assistant to former president Dr. Samuel Dubois Cook 1994-1998 and as Dean of Students from 1998-2001.

He is currently serving as a Louisiana state representative for District 11. DUNAA encourage all alumni to attend the Annual Honors Convocation on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10am -2pm.

Dr. Yolanda Williams-Page Class of 1991 Dillard University New Vice President of Academic Affairs

The Dillard University National Alumni Association (DUNAA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Yolanda Williams-Page as the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Dillard University.

Dr. Williams-Page is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana and is a proud graduate of the class of 1991. She served Dillard University in the past as Chair of the English Department and Assistant Dean of Humanities. She is currently the Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and was recently promoted to full professor.

Dr. Yolanda Williams-Page is committed to promoting excellence in every study of academia at Dillard University and will start her tenure in her new position July 1, 2013. Additionally, she is active and financial with the Dillard University National Alumni Association and has assisted and chaired several DUNAA programs with the Little Rock, Arkansas Chapter.

The Dillard University National Alumni Association, Inc. (DUNAA) would like all alumni to extend our heartiest congratulations and support to this “Daughter of Dillard University.”

DU Alumni Midnight Breakfast

The Dillard University National Alumni Association (DUNAA) is sponsoring an Alumni Midnight Breakfast Fundraiser Friday, May 10, 2013 at 9pm.

Mr. James E. Alford, Jr., Event Chair, stated “The Alumni Midnight Breakfast will surely be a throwback to the old days of DU. Come out, have fun and bring your friends and classmates.”

The event will be in Kearny Hall. The menu will feature a “Southern Style Breakfast” with eggs, bacon, buttermilk biscuits, turkey sausages, fresh fruit, shrimp & grits and more.

Entertainment will be provided by none other than DJ. Raji Smoove Class of ’98.

Open Bar will be provided!!!
