Salsberry First Alumnus Chaplain

Salsberry

Since the inception of Dillard University spirituality and religious faith was always an important element of the school foundation and culture. In the 1950’s after the successful construction of the Lawless Chapel under the leadership of Dr. Albert Dent the university developed a chaplain position to operate the chapel and serve as a spiritual advisor and guide to the university community. Since then several men and one woman Rev. Gail Bowman who served is the immediate past chaplain dedicated themselves to serving our “Dillard Family.”  We are proud to announce that one of Dillard sons will serve in this capacity for the first time and that son is Rev. Earnest Salsberry. Please review the article by clicking on the link.
