(NEW ORLEANS, LA) –Dillard University is proud to announce that it is now accepting applications from Registered Nurses (RNs) who want to obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN). The RN-BSN is a blended program format, that is, one in which classes are offered both online and face-to-face.
Dr. Sharon Hutchinson, chair of Dillard’s School of Nursing, says that classes will begin this summer for the next cohort of registered nurses. Hutchinson explained that while the University has offered registered nurses the opportunity to enroll in the BSN program since 2001, this is the first time it is being offered through a blended and online delivery format. “We are changing the way we offer this program to keep up with current trends in education for registered nurses and to make our course offerings more accessible to professionals in the field,” said Hutchinson. “Blended delivery affords the professional RN both the flexibility of online learning and the personal interactions of face-to-face learning,” she added.
The RN-BSN program option at Dillard University is one of several programs that lead to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The RN-BSN program consists of 31 credit hours over three (3) consecutive semesters with entry to the program beginning in the summer. Applications are now being accepted for Summer 2015 entry.
