DU Alumnus Edward Buckles is Fundraising for his First Feature Film

The film program may be new at Dillard University but 2015 graduate Edward Buckles has hit the ground running. Mr. Buckles is currently on a grassroots fundraising campaign for his first feature film concerning the kids who experienced Hurricane Katrina. DU Family please support this young gifted film maker by making a donation. Make sure you put DU Alum on the donation comments so he can know that the Dillard Family supports its own. Please read his statement and watch video links concerning his film “Katrina Babies.”
A statement from Edward Buckles
I am in the works of creating my very first feature film. It’s an important story that I want to tell for the youth of New Orleans. ‪#‎KatrinaBabies‬ is a project that explores the narratives of young people who experienced hurricane Katrina.
Please help me to create this film by contributing to the labor behind it. It is very expensive to make a feature film but we believe that with your help we can meet our goal of $25,000 to at least get through principle photography and post production (pay and feed the crew, travel expenses, anthology, editing, festivals, etc.) You can donate by clicking the link below. Any amount helps!”
