MermaidDU Alumni please support DU Alumna India McDougle as she presents a play this weekend with the kids of the NORDC Dillard University Theater Arts Camp and Little Village Youth Ensemble

THE LITTLE MERMAID WILL BECOME A “PART OF YOUR WORLD!” is being presented by NORDC/ Dillard University Theater Arts Camp and Little Village Youth Ensemble

New Orleans, LA, July 18th -19th and July 25th -26th – Disney THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. is being presented by NORDC/ Dillard University Theatre Arts Camp and Little Village Youth Ensemble at Dillard University Theatre. The 60-minute musical, designed for young performers, is based on the 2008 Broadway production and the 1989, animated feature film. The cast contains approximately 100 young artists led by India McDougle and Tonya Boyd-Cannon.

This classic Disney title contains all of the songs from the Academy Award® winning animated feature film as well as three new songs from the Broadway show. THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. takes place in a magical kingdom beneath the sea, where a beautiful young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, the king of the sea, escape the clutches of an evil sea witch, and convince a prince that she’s the girl with the perfect voice.

Performances of Disney THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. are open to the public at Dillard University’s Samuel DuBois Cook Fine Arts Center, 2601 Gentilly Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70122 on Saturday and Sunday, July 18th & 19th and Saturday and Sunday, July 25th & 26th at 3pm & 6pm each day, for a total of eight (8) shows. General admission $15 and Children/Seniors $10.
