Welcome to DUNAA Official News Blog

Official Survey of the Dillard University National Alumni Association

The Dillard University National Alumni Association (DUNAA) Executive Board is requesting the input of the Dillard University Alumni community to assist us. We understand that not all alumni utilize social media and email but due to time constraints, we felt that this was the most efficient and effective mode of communication.  In an effort to move us forward as a united body, we ask that you answer this short survey.

Thank you,

DUNAA Executive Board

  1. This speaker is totally unacceptable. With all of her acculades she is still not an appropriate choice for DU. The DU that I knew had a much higher level of expectation for students, while showing that they respected and cared for students.

This speaker represents nothing new that they haven’t already seen, said, read, witnessed, avoided, or became victim to.

These students deserve more. Please leave this drama to the sensationalized media where it belongs.

Her appearance will only serve to boost her resume and contributes nothing useful to the community of DU.

  2. This speaker was only selected to promote herself and sell books. Just a few weeks ago Monica Butler Johnson was brutally killed by her estranged husband in Baton Rouge. This is the type of story that DU students and the surrounding community needs to hear about. Instead of playing a game of celebrity, Dillard administrators need to re-examine the purpose of this Brain Food series, because inviting someone like Karrine Steffans to talk about domestic violence is making a mockery out of a serious issue where lives are at stake. (My comments were also posted in the survey)
