“An Evening with Dillard University”
Friday, March 13th
On Friday March 13, one of America’s premiere choral groups, the Dillard University Concert Choir will be performing in Darrow, LA at 7:30 p.m. at the Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church, located at 38584 Highway 22 for the very first time as a part of its national tour. Hopeful Triumph is pastored by Dillard University Alumnus, Dr. Sidney J. Tobias, Jr. and the Baton Rouge Area Chapter of the DU Alumni Association is sponsoring the event.
Please, help Dillard University win one of the three grant levels ($10,000, $25,000, or $50,000) by voting once a day for Dillard at this link: www.retoolyourschool.com
Dillard has a better probability of winning the Home Depot Retool Your School grant this year as we will be competing only with schools that are similar in size, that is, campuses with up to 1,200 students. The Home Depot grant, should we win, will greatly benefit the campus by providing painting and repairs of the exterior walls of Gentilly Gardens, outdoor furniture, bike racks for Straight Hall, lawn care and new trees, plants and shrubs for our spacious green area.
Also, share your vote and post comments on Tweeter, Facebook or Instagram, using the following hashtag: #Dillard_RYS15 to increase social media activity.

Dillard University student Edward Buckles decided to tackle the current issues of the day by making a statement and creating a masterful piece of art work. What he created was a short film covering the issue of black men and the police. The acting done by another Dillard University student Rahim Glaspy is powerful. Please take some time to watch the video and support these current students of Dillard University.
